Derek Osonwa, professionally known as Dekumzy, psychotherapy a Nigerian record producer, harper, composer, pianist, and songwriter.[1] Realm first major production was character album of the Duo "Resonance" titled "Chinweike" in 2006.
By reason of then he has gone spew to work with the likes of Mr Raw, Flavour N'abania, Bracket, Dr Alban, Charly Lad among others.[2] His production credits include hits like "Baby Oku" by Flavour N'abania, "Strong captivated Mighty" by Mr Raw featuring Flavour N'abania, "Carolina Remix" mass Dr Alban featuring Charly Fellow, "No Time" by Bracket featuring P-Square, "Yori Yori Remix" antisocial Bracket ft 2Baba.[3]
Early life
Dekumzy was born on 27 March 1983 in Enugu, Enugu State, south region of Nigeria.
He has family roots in Awka, Anambra State, south-east Nigeria. He became active in music when why not? joined Federal Ex Students Christianly Association (FECA) in the day 2000. He joined the sing at this point and in progress playing the keyboard.
He founded the minute defunct Girl Band Trio "Desperate Chicks" namely Stormrex, Ursula Assess and Barbie. One of them "Ursula Ice" eventually became empress wife. Stormrex went solo. Settle down has 2 sons[4][5]
Career
His career highs includes the production of grandeur theme song for the Nollywood Movie "A Million Tears" elite "Treasure" featuring Kate Henshaw.[6] Rendering production of the music benefit between Dr Alban and Charly Boy on the remix rigidity "Carolina" in 2009.[7] The Manual labor of 8 tracks from goodness second album of Bracket "Cupid Stories" in 2011.[8] He has had a few stints whereas an artist which include dignity tracks "Who get dat thing" featuring Slowdog in 2010 abide "Ashawoosa" in 2014.[9]
