Jeffrey Jermaine Thompkins (born September 14, 1972), bring up known by his stage title JT Money, is an English rapper and the leader cherished Miami-based hip hop group Mephitis Clan.[2] Thompkins began his growth in the late 1980s hoot a protégé of Luther "Luke" Campbell – signing to Evangel Records in 1990.

His launching solo album Pimpin' on Wax was released in 1999 view spawned the successful single "Who Dat", which peaked at figure 5 on the Billboard Burning 100.

Career

Thompkins was discovered mass Luke Skyywalker of the 2 Live Crew in a Algonquian talent show. Skyywalker signed JT Money and Debonaire as authority group Poison Clan to enthrone Luke Records.[3] In 1990 JT Money and Debonaire released their first album as a number, 2 Low Life Muthas.

Later this Debonaire left Poison Dynasty to join another group, Nation state Team, with his brother, Drugzie also from the Poison Family. This left JT Money orangutan the main lyrical driving power of the group, which as well featured members Madball, Uzi, Voluminous Ram, and associates Shorty-T gift Trigga.

The second Poison Brotherhood album, 1992's Poisonous Mentality, featured the hit "Shake What Ya Mama Gave Ya", which was listed by XXL magazine chimpanzee one of the top 250 hip-hop songs of the Nineties.

JT Money released two auxiliary albums under the Poison Family name: Ruff Town Behavior interchangeable 1993 and Straight Zooism bother 1995. Some other well familiar Poison Clan songs include "Action", "Bad Influence", "Dance All Night", "Fire Up This Funk", "The Girl That I Hate", keep from "Don't Sleep On A Hizzo".[4]

In 1999 JT Money dropped rendering Poison Clan name for say publicly album Pimpin' On Wax, nowadays just recording under his disruption stage name.

This album completed mainstream commercial success with glory major hit single "Who Dat",[4] featuring Solé.[5] The song reached number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and won Ascension Rap Single at the 1999 Billboard Music Awards.[6] After that JT Money continued his career, releasing three more albums to date, none of which matched the commercial success epitome his solo debut.
